Whispers of Evergreen Valley and This Week’s Creative Joys

Whew, you finally arrived! It’s a little hot sitting out here, but it pleases me to officially welcome you inside. Come on in. Let’s sit down and have a glass of something cool and refreshing while I share a little bit about my week here at Evergreen Yuletide.

It has been a productive week, but the work has not all been pleasant. Preparing a General Durable Power of Attorney for a loved one takes a great deal of time. It isn’t the most pleasurable of tasks, but love necessitates action in matters of importance. Checking that item off my to‑do list also brings great relief.

Slipping back into my creative world brought much‑needed balance. I have been looking forward to sharing my newest shop offerings as well as giving you a little peek at life developing in Evergreen Valley.

This week’s shop listing is for greeting card makers. My friend has inspired me to fill a niche within the card‑making craft. As such, Evergreen Yuletide is now proudly designing encouragement card fronts and soon‑to‑be phrases and embellishments. Seeing my friend Rose’s card, created with a card front from my product design, has also inspired me to open a new page here. I am calling it Inspiration Gallery, hope all you crafty followers will send me a photo of something you’ve created using one of my products. It would be my pleasure to share it in Evergreen Yuletide’s new gallery.

I was also able to list the lunchbox notes that I mentioned in last week’s blog. Each little note shares words of inspiration and encouragement and features a little something from Evergreen Valley. I also began designing the backgrounds that will be part of the forthcoming Halloween/Thanksgiving set of lunchbox notes — and many more to come.

And speaking of Evergreen Valley, I’m excited to let you know that a book is in the works! It will give you a deeper look into the heart of the Valley — its magic, its kindness, and the stories waiting to unfold. For now, consider this just a little whisper of what’s to come.

I have so many projects either planned or in the beginning stages of creation, and I can’t wait to bring them all to you. Hold onto your hats, as next week I hope to have completed and listed a set of Texas‑themed clipart/embellishments. Each graphic is hand‑drawn by me and painted in a soft watercolor style.
